Hippotherapy is defined as therapy provided through the use
of the horse. These sessions are coordinated with Children's Therapy
Center and require a physician's prescription, an initial evaluation
with goals and treatment plan provided by a licensed therapist.
Daily
progress notes are kept and any written update as required by CTC or
the funding source. It is billed as a therapy session and therapists
are provided and paid by CTC. The clients are responsible for paying
the additional fee to cover the cost of the horse and handler.
Medicine Horse provides the trained horse, horse handler, and equipment.
